It is interesting to note,
that Hapkido is not organized under the KTA, ITF or
WTF,
perhaps the only Korean art with this unique status.
Hapkido in Korea is
overseen by three organizations:
The Korea Kido Federation, The Korea Hapkido
Association,
and The International Hapkido Federation. The HARRISON

Ranking System
The H.H.M.S. & H.M.H.S. ranking
system is a standardized ranking system that serves the three martial arts (The
Harrison
HAP KI DO Mission Systems, The H. HAP KI DO M. Systems, and Hap Ki Do) methods
(H. H.M.S. & H. M.H.S.) currently under its umbrella. Participation in the H.
H.M.S.
& H. M.H.S. ranking system is not necessarily synonymous with training. It is
meant as an incentive system for six who wish to serve as future teachers and
ambassadors of one or all of the Six aforementioned arts. Advancement in rank is
a privilege, and not right - it is a meritocracy. Therefore, training is not a
guarantee for advancement. The student/practitioner must demonstrate a genuine
willingness to accept the teachings of these arts without compromise.
Following the completion of a
testing, all testing results are subject to approval by the Grand Master, Senior
Master or Senior Instructor. Rank is a PRIVILEDGE, not a right, that is EARNED
through respect, hard work, and dedication. Our students are certified in each organization when they earn their
black belts from our organization.
